HomeSimGolf (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This page explains what data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.
What we collect
Contact form. If you use our Get In Touch form, we collect your name, email address, and message so we can reply to you. We don’t add you to any mailing list from this alone.
Newsletter. If you subscribe to email updates, we collect your email address to send you new posts. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
Site analytics. Like most websites, we use analytics (via Jetpack Stats) to understand which pages get read and how visitors find the site. This is aggregated, general usage data, not used to identify individuals.
Cookies. This site uses a small number of cookies: essential ones needed for the site to function, and analytics cookies as described above. You’ll see a cookie notice when you first visit, and you can control non-essential cookies through it or through your browser settings.
Who we share data with
HomeSimGolf is hosted on WordPress.com, run by Automattic, who process site data (including stats and form submissions) on our behalf as part of providing hosting. We don’t sell your data to anyone, and we don’t share contact form submissions with third parties.
Some pages on this site contain affiliate links to retailers. Clicking one takes you to that retailer’s own website, where their own privacy policy applies, not ours. See our Affiliate Disclosure for more on how this works.
How long we keep data
We keep contact form submissions only as long as needed to answer your query and for a reasonable period afterward in case of follow-up, then delete them. Newsletter email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to how it’s used. To exercise any of these, get in touch and we’ll action it. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
This site isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site grows, for example once affiliate tracking or additional analytics are added. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date below.
